I have a mini 5+ ethernet with SBC I've been printing with for a few months. recently it's been giving me an undervoltage error VIN=0.0V error an hour or two into prints. I noticed looking through the forum that this issue may have been fixed with a recent firmware update.

I tried to update the firmware, but at the time didn't know to access the terminal to do apt update/upgrade, so I just went on github, grabbed the newest firmware, and added it to the system files thinking surely it can't cause any harm... well now it doesn't work at all. I go to the web server and it just says "failed to connect... dcs not started".

How bad have I messed up and how do I fix it? I have sense learned to get to SSH/terminal from my mac and ran update/upgrade but it won't fix it.

If you have since done a sudo apt update sudo apt upgrade on the Pi you should have DSC running on version 3.3 now.

To regain connection to the mini you'll need to manually update the firmware to match by following these steps.

@phaedrux @phaedrux Got it going, many thanks! I considered doing that but was unsure if that was the proper course at the time and decided to get some help before I dug a deeper hole lol.
