Home Z axis with IR probe

  • I have a CoreXY and using Duet Wifi with version 1.19.2 using switches on all three axis for primary homing which is working great. I home to X0 Y0 Z0. I want the print head to move to the center of the print area (X200 Y150) then Z probe using the IR probe to set final distance for first layer of print. I am sure I have seen the G code instructions on how to set up this move but I can't find it again. I don't want to do any kind of bed leveling at this time, my printer holds a very stable level bed after I level it using the old fashioned piece of paper method. Could someone please post the instruction or direct me to it.

PS I have the IR Probe mounted, wired and working, the red LED comes on when it is about 5mm from the bed.

    Thanks, Ed

  • Look at the HomeZ section for the Cartesian printers.
