Duet 2WiFi randomly reset with Adafruit LED ring
-
Good morning, since I've installed an original Adafruit RGBW LED ring (24 leds) the Duet 2WiFi "randomly" resets even during a print or even during....nothing...the ring works well with the "code" I'm writing but now I had to throw all away due to this problem. The power supply for the ring is provided by a 5V step down and I've connected the ring following step by step the instructions here https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Neopixel_and_DotStar_LEDs
I've used a three wires flat cable to connetc it to the board. The wire lenght is about 70cm... I also noticed that randomly a single led lights on at maximum bright (of course not commanded to do so)....
Have I missed something? Could it be due to the wire lenght?
Thanks for any suggestion
Andrea

@thedragonlord how are you powering the LED ring? That ring will draw up to about 2A depending on which LEDs you light.

I'm powering it with a 5V step down directly connected to the "main" 24V power supply. The board resets even with no leds or few leds powered on
