Testing different Beta versions?
-
All, is there a guide somewhere on how to roll back beta versions, and swap between standalone and SBC mode? I can't seem to find anything. I have seen the page on converting back to stable in SBC mode, however that doesn't seem to cover this. I also want to be able to swap back and forth easily for testing new beta versions.
I am running a 6HC and 2 of 3HC in SBC mode on 3.4b7 however it is broken and 3.4b6 on standalone mode (but not SBC mode) is supposed to work for what I am trying to do. The SBC is on an SSD, and I have a uSD card with 3.4b1. I also have a spare 6HC and Mini5 still in the box if it helps.
Cheers!

Running in standalone mode is as easy as having an SD card with your config files and folder structure inserted into the Duet.

This page has more information about upgrading and downgrading as well.
To switch back to a specific older version I think you'd have to specify the version name in the apt command, though the exact syntax escapes me at the moment.

@phaedrux Thanks. I’ve just downloaded files from GitHub and replaced ones on the spare SD card. Didn’t have everything on GitHub so fingers crossed. I’ll try it tomorrow.
