I am trying to set up a Duet 3 Mini 5+ by following the Getting Connected to your Duet instructions. I was able to install the USB drivers and YAT. I was able to connect to the board using YAT. I was able to run M115 which gave me a version of 3.2 beta something. When I ran the M552 command I got the following error:

Error: M552: Network-related commands are not supported when using an attached Single Board Computer<LF>ok<LF>

I have nothing attached to the board except the USB cable, nothing else.
I used the feature of the board to connect it to my PC as a drive and installed the latest firmware:

      FIRMWARE_NAME: RepRapFirmware for Duet 3 Mini 5+ FIRMWARE_VERSION: 3.3 ELECTRONICS: Duet 3 Mini5plus WiFi FIRMWARE_DATE: 2021-06-15 21:46:20<LF>ok<LF>

However I still get the same error when I try and run M552, any help would be appreciated.

Do you have the SD card in the board?

I'm by no means certain as I've not used a Duet board in stand-alone mode, but it may be that you have to also update the SD card files to match the board firmware, by putting it in a PC/USB adapter and adding the correct files from the firmware repository?

@rjenkinsgb No SD card, the instructions didn't mention that. I will give it a try

@rhol1964 if it's a genuine Duet then the SD card should already be in the socket on the board when you received it.

@dc42 That is probably true, however, I bought this board in Feb 2021 from Filastruder, and am just now getting around to setting it up. I think I may have misplaced the card that came in the slot, so I used the configuration tool online to generate the files and put them on a blank sd card, and installed it in the slot. Now I am able to successfully get the wifi module working and was able to connect to the board using DWC. Now it's just all the minutia of configuration and possibly I can try a test print this weekend. Thanks, everyone for the prompt help.
