I am wanting to add door open/closed switches using IO_0 - IO_8 inputs and I'm wondering if I am required to run the matching 3.3V/5V pin with the _IN pin, or if I could run a single 5V/3.3V wire, and IO_0, IO_1, IO_2 to a group of switches.

Could that 5V/3.3V be from a separate power supply?

Have you experienced any issues with limit switch wires that are longer than 10 feet?

With longer wires, is it better to pull up or down?

      Thank you.

@p8blr Can't you just connect it NC with gnd to in?

If it's normal micro switches like an ordinary endstop switch?
