Wifi module issue m552
-
After running M552 S0, and then m552, we only get the module starting. It never enters the idle mode. Any help? Thanks. We are 2.05 firmware and have retried downloading all the drivers.

@mklingseisen try reinstalling the WiFi firmware using M997 S1.
-
@dc42 We tried that previously and got this:
M997 S1
Trying to connect at 230400 baud: failed
Trying to connect at 115200 baud: failed
Trying to connect at 74880 baud: failed
Trying to connect at 9600 baud: failed
Error: Installation failed due to comm write error

@mklingseisen thanks, in that case it looks as though the WiFi module has failed.
-
@dc42 is there anyway to get a replacement?

@dc42 Update, I saw your post about a similar condition from Dec 2016 about how it might be a bad solder connection.
"So the WiFi module isn't responding when the Duet main processor tries to use the programming interface. Looks like you have a hardware fault. Do all the pads of the WiFi module look adequately soldered to the main board? You can ignore the pads at the back of the module because those connections are not used."
I took a look and touched up two of the pads with my soldering iron and the update went through. I really appreciate all the work you have put into this over the years!
