Manually adjust temperature



  • We are using a duet wifi/paneldue combo and are struggling to sort out how to manually adjust the temperature of the nozzle when on standby, It heats up fine if printing something, but cannot adjust the temperature.
    I'm guessing we are missing a line or 2 from the config file?

  • You can set the room temperature by using M912 S-18.8 (18.8 Is my average between E0 and HeatBed "If you have a heatbed"when I first turn on the system after it hasn't been running) and the paneldue has an option for standbye on print screen. You select your standbye temp then hit the button for extruder 1 and the current temp will turn yellow. Also you can set standby on the web-interface in upperleft hand corner to the right of the current temp. Also You can at anytime type in or select a new temp in current temp on web interface. Also you can hit the title "heater 1" for instance and it will toggle it to on, off, standbye on the web interface.

    I am not sure how to set the standbye for default. I have had to set it everytime.

    The standby temperature is set by the R parameter in the G10 command. However, a heater needs to be turned on before the standby temperature is applied. Here is a possible sequence if you are starting with the tool heater turned off:

    G10 P0 R100 ; set standby temperature of tool 0 to 100C
    T0 P0 ; make tool 0 active without running tool change files
    T-1 P0 ; put tool 0 on standby without running tool change files

    If what you want to do is to set the standby temperatures for a two colour print, just use the appropriate G10 Rxxx commands in your slicer start code.
