Escaping characters other than " in wifi passwords
-
Hello,
If i have a wifi password at work with '!' and '@' characters in them, do i need to escape them? if so how? I am stuck with the incorrect password error when i start wifi.
Currently my work around is a personal hotspot and have the printer connect to my laptop.

You will need to repeat any " and ' characters in the password, but that is all.
-
so "!password@123@" in the macro would work? I am running 1.19.2
-
Yes, it ought to work. If you wanted to send it from Pronterface instead, you would have to enter it as "!'p'a's's'w'o'r'd@123@" instead to allow for Pronterface converting the characters to uppercase.

How are username/password AP's ? Not a biggie if not, just curious

I'm sorry, I don't understand the question.

Another access point i have access to doesn't just have a password. It's has an SSID, username, and password to identify the user connecting.
-
Isn't the username just for when you want to log on to the router to administer it?
-
Nope, cooperate wifi allows you to use something called a radius server, which basicly allows username and password authentication via windows services.
But alas, NOT an issue, more curiosity. thanks for help. The other AP works fine.
