Duet 2 wifi and smart effector wiring

OK I need help. I'm upgrading to the duet 2 wifi. Im also upgrading to a smart effector. I have a few questions about wiring. I know the 6 pin on to of the effector is for the fan power and the 8 pin is for the thermistor and z probe.. My question is do I need to get a bl touch wire to place into the z probe spots on the effector or do I need some other type of wire to use for the four spots on the 8 pin connector on the smart effector?

If you're using the smart effector, wouldn't you be using the built in strain gauge for the probe?
