I previously had the 1XD Expansion Boards on a 6HC Main Board, work fine. I have changed to a 6XD Board for step and direction to run Clearpath Servos on my X and Y. The 1XD Boards are for my Extruder and Z.
I cannot get the 1XD to connect the 6XD Main Board. I have put the erase jumper on the 1XD Board to take back to factory address 122. LED is flashing quick and continuously, indicating no connection to main board.
Checked voltage to 1xd and it is 24v.
I am using same wire it was connected with when it worked correctly to my 6HC Board. Also tried another wire (short) same result.

@signpostman are you using the same software version on both boards? The 1XD will have loaded firmware from the SD card in your MB6XD board when you used the reset jumper, but the MB6XD may be running a later firmware version.

@dc42 should I reconnect the 6HC Board to the 1XD board and update the firmware on the 1XD to latest and then try to connect to the1XD to 6XD?

@signpostman you can update the 1XD firmware by uploading the new 1XD firmware to your MB6XD and then using the reset jumper on the 1XD again.

@dc42 I don't recall adding firmware for the 1XD board to the 6HC.
I could not find how to add firmware for the 1XD to 6XD?
I reconnected my 6HC to the 1XD, could I just update the firmware on the 6HC and the 1XD? would that let the 1XD connect to the 6XD with the latest firmware?

@signpostman They just need to be on the same firmware. Send M115 on 6XD and 6HC to see what firmware version they are running, then update to the same as the 6XD, or update all of them to the latest version.
