Stop Deploying Probe (Solved)



  • I recently upgraded to 1.19 from 1.18. When I run G32, my delta (DC42 large delta with smart effector) looks like it is deploying and retracting a mechanical probe even though I delete those lines from my bed.g file in /sys. Below are my config.g and bed.g files. Is there a possibility of a random bed.g file is being used to calibrate my delta?

  • Yes, you need to read the release notes - it's caught a lot of people out. To save you time, I've copied and pasted the relevant bit here…...........

    Important! If you use an IR Z probe or some other type that does not need to be deployed, delete the files sys/deployprobe and sys/retractprobe.g if they exist, because they are now called automatically. You can do this in the System Files Editor of the web interface.
