Tool dock switch / coupler IR Sensor

hey all together,
I want to install some safety features by changing tools.
My plan is to install ir probes on the tool coupler to check if it´s coupled well and also at the docking station, but there a switch should be enough. ( I have also magnets on the docking station already installed, so the switch wouldn´t push the tool away from the docking station).
To complete this safety options I would like to create some If-clauses - like failed docking --> stop at this position.
Are there some good examples or descriptions of what I´m looking for?
Or is there somebody who wants to share some information or experince?

I´m working with Duet 3 6hc + sbc
I have here 2 original ir probes from Duet.
