@JoergS5 @dc42 I'm building a cnc with lathe and milling machine with duet2 wifi + duex5
the cutter and the following:
axis Y length sfu1204 and HGW20CC 1200mm + X sfu1204 and HGW20CC 500mm+ sfu1204 and HGW20CC Z400mm but the motor I want to use as NEMA spindle for milling or drilling + with axis A (with two k12-125 are positioned face to face they look at each other ) rotary I want to use it to rotate the material in the milling phase turn in the sides that I need in the machining phase EXAMPLE: square or rectangular
LATHE:
AXIS Y length sfu1204 and HGW20CC 1200mm + sfu1204 and HGW20CC Z 400 mm which will be the axis where the tool will be + x sfu1204 and HGW20CC 500mm + axis A (with two k12-125 they are positioned face to face they look at each other ) which are the same as the milling cutter, with the difference that they must rotate at a desired speed or even to create threads
SUMMARIZING AXIS :
2 AXIS : Y 1 MILL 1 LATHE
2 AXIS : X 1 MILL 1 LATHE
2 AXIS : Z 1 FOR THE MILL WITH VERTICAL SPINDLE AXIS
Z 1 FOR LATHE WITH HORIZONTAL TOOL AXIS
1 AXIS : ROTARY with two k12-125
OBVIOUSLY THE MILLING AND THE LATHE I DON'T USE THEM AT THE SAME TIME IF ONE THE LATHE I DON'T USE THE MILLING AND VICE VERSA
WHO CAN HELP ME WITH THE CONFIGURATION I HAVE EXPERIENCE IN ELECTRONICS AND IT I HAVE ALREADY BUILT A 6-AXIS 3D PRINTERTHANK YOU

Your description sound like a CNC 4 axis setup. I am currently developing the robot kinematics for the firmware. If you risk trying beta software, we can test it together. I am testing with Mini 5+, but have Duet 2 Wifi with Duex5 as well, so I can test it with this hardware as well. I want to build a big CNC for wood.
The starting page for CNC 5 axis is in https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/Machine_configuration/robot_5_axis_CNCOne task is to find software which creates the G-Code for 4 or 5 axis.
If you plan to use Nema as spindle, they can only provide 1000 rpm with low torque, this will not be sufficient for hard material. Wood may be possible and plastics, but probably not aluminium and steel.
I don't understand how many axes you plan, 2 axes x, y, z, can you please make a drawing where the axes and the actuators are located?
The moderators will probably move this thread somewere else, like my duet controlled hardware or to CNC. But I'll find you again

@JoergS5 the nema 17 23 and 34 motors manage to reach even 3400 rpm The machine will be for the metal which firmware are you talking about and then I wanted to ask you can we only talk here or else is there another chat method
Yes I would be very happy to share this experience with you if it was possible to hear each other like Skype or WhatsApp I find it more direct -

like Skype or WhatsApp
I don't like skype or WhatsApp for discussing, because then I must be present at a specific time. Please let us discuss here. An exception is if you have something confidential, then we can chat.
I need to know your exact setup like the axes directions etc. to give information for the configuration.

@JoergS5 Ok I'll try to give you a description in a bit. Now I'm going to dinner Because I still have to assemble the structure, I still lack materials to assemble it. But in the meantime, I wanted to start planning the configuration

@paolozampini1973 and I'm looking the end of soccer, probably another penalty shootout!

@paolozampini1973 marocco vs spain, marocco won. My country germany is out.
