                  Can you send M997 S1 in the usb terminal? That will force a reflash of the wifi module.

                        @Dillon-Brown I then tried M552 S1 and wifi went idle with no known networks found

                            Have you sent the M587 command to add your wifi SSID and password?

                            And yes, it will only connect to a 2.4ghz access point.
