      There's a very good chance that what's really going on is that I'm confused, but in the "Connecting external motor drivers" section of the 6XD overview, this language seems not entirely accurate:

      "The Step, Dir and Enable outputs from the 6XD are either low (when "on") or floating/high impedence when "off".

      Does the position of the enable jumper not modify this? Suggest:
      "The Step and Dir outputs from the 6XD are either low (when "on") or floating/high-impedance when "off". The enable output is floating/high-impedance when "off", but can be either high (3.3V) or low when "on", depending on the position of the En_Pol jumper."

        @Maestro actually it should be:

        The Enable output us either Low when On and high impedance when Off, or vice versa, depending on the position of the jumper.

          @dc42 Ah, I see. I think that would be a good edit to clarify what that jumper is doing.
