Duet wifi in access point mode stopped working
-
We are using Duet 2 Wi-Fi on our Modix 3D printer in the access point mode. At this point, the Wi-Fi has stopped working. Typically, we just restart the printer and it will show up again, but this time we hit the “reset duet” button and cannot get it to work again. I have gone through the process of manually trying to get the Wi-Fi signal back using M commands, as suggested on the website, but nothing seems to work. When trying to put the board in idle mode (M552 S0) it fails every time. And since idle mode wont work, we cannot set the Wi-Fi name, password and IP address using M589. I have tried resetting and deleting the old Wi-Fi data, but nothing seems to work.
Please, let me know how this problem might be solved.

What error messages are you getting?
Can you use a USB terminal program like YAT and connect to the board and send M122 and copy and paste the results here?

You could try reinstalling the WiFi module firmware using M997 S1.

@dc42 reinstalling with M997 S1 - it tries to connect at various baud rates but fails.

When did you purchase the printer?

@Phaedrux January 2023.

@Phaedrux Attached are the troubleshooting steps I went through.
First is results from M122.
Second I try getting the board into idle mode which does not work.
Third I try reinstalling the existing wifi firmware "DuetWiFiServer.bin" two times with no success. Error: Installation failed due to comm write error
Fourth I download the newest wifi firmware, place it in the firmware folder on the SD card, and try reinstalling it 3 times with no success. Error: Installation failed due to comm write error
