WiFi problem after erase and reset
-
Hello,
Linux Ubuntu 22.04
Duet 2 wifi Board
Firmware 3.4.6
WiFi Firm. 1.0.2
DWC 2.0.4my duet no longer answers. I set the erase jumper and pressed reset. After that there was no response when I spoke to the board with "Cutecom". The connection to port ttyACM0 is established but there is no response to M122 or other GCodes. After connecting via a USB cable, the two voltage LEDs, the DIAG LED and the LED between the USB socket and the reset button light up. So I think the board is alive. External voltage was not connected.
What can I do and how to get the Duet fully functional again? -
@haegar-ms You have erased the firmware. You will need to use Bossa to flash firmware to it via USB. Also update your WiFi firmware (v1.0.2) and DWC (v2.04), both very old and will barely work with the latest RRF 3.4.6.
To flash firmware see https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/RepRapFirmware/Updating_firmware#fallback-procedure-2
If you can't connect to DWC, you will have to update the contents of the /www folder manually. See https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/RepRapFirmware/Updating_firmware#updating-individual-firmware-components for DWC and WiFi updates.

@droftarts Hello Ian, thank you for your advice. I'll try and let you know the result.
greetings Harald -
@droftarts Hello Ian,
I followed the instructions exactly, unfortunately without success. I had also created a new SD card as instructed. But there is still no response from the board. Can you perhaps give me detailed instructions? -
Take a look through here and let us know how far you get.

@haegar-ms how far did you get? Did you manage to flash firmware to the Duet? Reconnect via serial terminal? Is it just you can’t connect to DWC? Please be more specific. Error messages, feedback from commands you have sent etc. I’m not a mind reader!

@droftarts Hello, I read nearly every Duet-Documentation, but at the end there's no respond from my Duet 2 WiFi Board. It seems as the hardware's broken.
Please excuse my lousy English. -
@droftarts Hi Ian, I found the error, it was between the ears (my ears). I should have read more carefully. I hadn't paid attention to the fact that the first thing I had to do was upload a file using Bossa. After that everything worked fine. It was the file "Duet2CombinedFirmware.bin"
I'm sorry for having to employ you for nothing, but you still helped me, otherwise I wouldn't have read the documentation again.
Thank You and Greetings Harald -
