I'm considering getting one of these, but I'm not sure if it'll work with my HBP (without modifications.)

I print with a 3mm sheet of glass on top of this build plate. Most of the plate is a matte dark gray (or black) aluminum surface, but I'm concerned about the shiny screw heads. Would they cause a problem for the IR sensor? If they would be a problem, would the problem be resolved if I just "paint" them with black permanent marker? Or, could I just ensure that none of the screw heads are used as a target for the IR sensor?

      Thanks
      Gary

Matt black permanent marker should help, but I suggest you just avoid probing close to those points by choosing the M557 grid parameters to avoid them.
