Hi, I have recently upgraded from duet2 + duex 5 to a duet3 6hc with duet 3HC expansion board. However, I am having issues configuring/using the expansion board.

My setup has a small 5V psu that powers the mainboard (and previously also the duex board). When I want to start a print I use the pson pin to switch mains to the 24V psu and turn it off when all temperatures are back to normal. This worked great with the duet2 but since I cannot find a way to add 5V to the can expansion board it is off when I try to configure it/cannot read sensors when the 24V supply is off.

What is the intended way wo use the pson/ext5V when using expansion boards on duet 3?

You can re-execute the config.g after the board is powered up in order to configure it. Or have the 3HC config in a separate macro you can call after you've executed PSON.
