i have just received my Mini differential IR sensor and having problems due to conflicting information on how to install

i have it installed to the Z probe socket on the duet wifi board

      Vin to 3v
      Gnd to Gnd
      Signal to Z Probe In
      Zprobe MOD Unconnected

      Config file
      ; Endstops
      M574 X1 Y2 S1
      M574 Z1 Z0 S0
      M558 P1 X0 Z0 H5 F120 T6000
      G31 P500 X0 Y0 Z1
      M557 X15:185 Y15:260 S20 0

the light on the board triggers and the Zprobe at untriggered is 0 and on triggered is 537

but in the end stop hit it is not showing anything just stays at NO

      i have just noticed on a M119
Endstops - X: not stopped, Y: not stopped, Z: not stopped, Z probe: at min stop

but on a home all the Z Axis won't stop

when i click Home All It wont Stop

      **UPDATE

ok i think i understand is the IR sensor not a home all endstop?

as i have put my old one back on and it works but the IR sensor just seems to be for the auto mesh
      or am i wrong

The IR sensor is a Z probe and as such can be used for various purposes such as Z homing, mesh bed compensation, automatic leadscrew adjustment, telling you how much to adjust the bed levelling screws, and even X homing on some printers. To use it for Z homing, see https://duet3d.com/wiki/Configuring_RepRapFirmware_for_a_Cartesian_printer#Homing_Z.
