High bed currents with Duet 0.8.5
-
I'm building a new printer which will use a Duet Wifi. Since Wifi is not currently in stock, I will prototype the new printer using my old 0.8.5 for a while. My bed heater draws 12.5 amps, so it won't work with Duet 0.8.5, but I read about the trick where you can connect a wire between VIN and Bed + to allow for higher current.
I have some questions:
1. What about Bed GND? Does it already have adequate PCB traces?
2. I have a nice Wago connector for my 24V power that will connect my power supply output to Duet's VIN and some LED lighting. I'm guessing I could just connect one a wire from it directly to my bed heater +, which would be equivalent to bridging VIN to Bed +?Thanks!

Yes and yes.
