Jerky circles at speed
-
I have been testing my machine to see how it handles fast speeds of 300mm/sec
I dont actually see myself printing at this speed. but if it can that would be greatI noticed that some of the arc's/ circles can be very jerky
see this video at the beginning it shows ithttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UV_pf9X5zAk&feature=em-upload_owner

is the jerky circles due to the slicer? Geometry or related to the Duet/Firmware

What are your acceleration and jerk values ?
They seem very low on your video. You can test on fly with gcode to find the appropriate value.
-
here are my current settings
M92 X200 Y200 Z800 E837 ; Set steps per mm
M566 X1500 Y1500 Z20 E800 ; Set maximum instantaneous speed changes (mm/min)
M203 X18000 Y18000 Z700 E1800 ; Set maximum speeds (mm/min)
M201 X4000 Y4000 Z250 E250 ; Set accelerations (mm/s^2) -
You should try to start at 150 mm/s and increase it with the slider. You will find your max speed. And you will find where it stop to be smooth.

@Adamfilip. How were the moves in the video generated? Was it via a slicer? If so, what speeds were set up in the slicer?
-
yes it was in Simplify3d, set to 300mm/sec with everything set to keep speeds at 100% for this test
