Duet web voltage readout.

  • I'll preface my post with the fact that many modern cars may have a voltage, temperature or oil pressure guage, but often as not, they're just a fancy idiot light (once the light is lit, you're already an idiot) … the guage only reflects "normal" and "not normal" ... not some actual analogue value. Why? To reduce questions people ask.

... So there's a power supply voltage indication on the web page of the Duet (Duet WiFi in my case). I've noticed that idle, it reads 12V. But it dips as low as 11.7 V when everything is on (heaters, mostly). What are the problematic values of this display?

If it dips below 9.5V then the stepper motors will be disabled and an under voltage event recorded.
