This is just a "would be nice to have".
I've just finished adding a second NAS to my wired Gigabit network. It occurred to me that it would nice if, as well as storing all printer related my files on it, I had the option to print from that location, rather than upload to the SD card. I have a growing number of large (50MB+) files and managing them on the SD card is becoming a tad tiresome. It would be handy as well for multiple printers (providing they can use the same gcode file of course).

Edit - this is just a thought for next gen duet and/or firmware.

Hi Ian, thanks for the suggestion. I guess this should buffer the files to the local SD card storage.

          Hi Tony,

I'll leave the practical implementation (if there is one) up to you experts. I stream HD videos and stuff from a single server, concurrently to a variety of devices but what happens inside all these various boxes is largely a mystery to me 🙂
