Is it possible to use a Dyze Sentinel with the DuetWifi?
-
I am leaning towards using the DuetWifi for a couple of printers I am building, and I just saw this on Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2052721114/sentinel-3d-printer-filament-detector-and-cleaner/description. According to the page, it just needs an open digital pin (and I am assuming a 5v and ground pin). Would something like this work with the DuetWifi?

Yes it should be compatible, see https://duet3d.com/wiki/Connecting_and_configuring_filament-out_sensors. That page is a bit sketchy at present.

I have connected a sentinel to the E1 endstop
info on how to connect are here

I am adding a
M581 E1 T1to the confuration to trigger a Pause when E1 endstop is triggered
does this sound correct? -
That looks correct to me, assuming you want to trigger the pause when the input goes high.

How can I check status of E1 Endstop
when I do M119 it doesnt show up. -
you can also look in the control panel it shows the endstops with several others as well

It's in Settings/Machine Properties in Duet Web Control.
