I am trying to wire a Duet 0.6 for use with a delta printer with a Smart Effector.
I have wired the part cooling fan to the FAN 0 and was planning on wiring the hotend fan to Pin 40 FAN V+ and Pin 39 FAN V-.
I don't see and power at these 2 pins. Do I need to configure these pins in any way, or am I just doing something stupid?
I guess I could always wire the fan straight to the PSU if it came to it but I don't really want to do that.
Any advice would be gratefully received

The usual place to connect always-on fans on the Duet 06 is to the Motor Loom connector. Looking at the Duet with the Ethernet connector on the right hand side, there are pins at/near the right hand end of that connector connected to +VIN, and other pins connected to ground. Sadly the reprappro documentation that showed the wiring has gone offline. I've just checked my Duet 06 with a meter, and the top right pin on that connector seems to be connected to +VIN and the pin immediately to its left seems to be connected to ground. But please check for yourself.

Thanks for the info, I will check it out.
I've just found this site which I think shows it https://emaker.io/documentation/fisher-build-instructions/electronics/

Many thanks........the problem has sort of resolved itself as I think I just destroyed the board.
I'm not 100% sure what happened but I must have shorted a couple of pins with the meter probe. Funny smell and the board no longer seems to be talking to anything

Thanks for the sympathy....my own fault ,I should have been more careful.
I was rushing because that was the last hurdle to overcome before I got to try the thing out. I did exactly the same thing a few years back so I should have known better!

If it helps, I have a Duet 06 with expansion shield for sale.

I'd be happy to sell just the Duet 06 with expansion board. I could also bundle it with the PSU and/or all the cables. I'm UK based. Any reasonable offer accepted. PM me if you are interested.

...if he's interested in just the board, I may be interested in the rest with the expansion board! I've a spare 0.6 but was planning a second home printer. This could save me a fair bit in parts!

While we're on the subject, I have a Duet 06 + DueX4, modified to fix the thermistor ground noise issue that the original DueX4 had. They were running my dual-nozzle Ormerod until I replace them with a Duet 2 Maestro.

Thanks for the offer but I think I am going to pull my 0.8.5 board out my other printer, use a Duet WiFi (that I've never got around to using) in the Ormerod and then use the 0.8.5 in this delta
