When you press emergency stop in the DWC the controller will reset and wait a configurable amount of time before automatically reconnecting the DWC webpage.

When you edit config.g and it asks if you wish to reboot, it will restart the duet and the webpage will just sit there disconnected until you manually refresh the page.

Is it possible to have the DWC automatically reconnect after a reboot following editing config.g?

Interesting, that you have this issue. Whenever I restart my Duet because of change in config.g it restarts and reconnects to Wifi so fast that DWC doesn't even realize it got disconnected... But that may be due to me having lowered refresh rate to 1000ms.

DWC -> Settings -> Communication -> Status Update Interval

Mine is already 250, 1000 didn't help. I tried making it the same as my reconnect delay on halt which is 15 seconds, didn't help.

I think 250 is the default - I upped it to 1000 because I often connect to the printer from remote and have a limited traffic amount on that connection (and as I tend to have this connection up for hours these little status reports will sum up eventually quite significantly).

Anyway, if you tried it and it does not help there is no use in trying this road any further.

I'll try again from my laptop. I just tested on my phone. But it doesn't seem to wait the full time no matter what that is set to. After about 5 seconds it just says connection lost.

@phaedrux ok, I barely ever use my phone to connect to my Duet. And even if I do I have yet to change config.g from it. That may be the difference why it never was a problem for me so far.

                        Same result on my laptop.
