      Hi,

For my printer the dc42 IR Differential Sensor would work well as an Z axis endstop.

Is that possible without giving up the Z-probe input for a future Z-probe application?

      Thanks.

Yes you can connect the IR sensor to and endstop connector. However, you may need to reduce the value of or bypass one of the output resistors on the sensor to get sufficient low-level drive.

          I will investigate.
