Improved Desktop Chrome support and missing button?
-
Every time I try to edit a gcode or config file, or want to click on a gcode file to delete it, or edit a macro, and anything that involves like the "press and hold" or "right click" mouse button....I can never bring up these menus or pop ups when I need to on my desktop on Chrome.
Every time I must resort to using my phone since I can press and hold to edit or delete stuff. So if I am testing a new gcode file, I have to upload it from my desktop but delete it from my phone which is just straight up annoying and eventually a bit aggravating.
Does anyone else have this problem??
Also, what happened to "half Z steps" in the options for UI general settings? Why'd that disappear? That was crazy helpful for me when trying to calibrate printers.
Also maybe some better support for building and editing DWC so I could make my own theme? That would be nice.

What version of Chrome are you using?
What version of the DWC?I think maybe you should try reinstalling the DWC. Something doesn't seem right.
You can specify the baby stepping height in the settings and you can specify the movement values for jogging by right clicking on the value in machine control.
Also, themes were recently expanded to include many of the themes from https://bootswatch.com/ All the source files are in there, so I think you should be able to modify them if you know CSS, etc.

@noskillzengineer I just checked this on my desktop installation of chrome on Windows 10:
right click works as expected.
As I happened to have a VNC connection to a Raspi running chromium i thought i would check that, and it works as well:
So possibly an issue with Chrome settings or DWC install (although if DWC is working in all other respects, and working on your phone then that does not sound like the issue).

I don't really know how helpful "it works for me" posts are... nonetheless, here is another data point, from a "no issues" end user. In addition to below, I regularly use DWC on iOS Safari, and Chrome on a Mac laptop.

AFAIR there were some options and/or add-ons that could block JavaScript right click events. I suggest you start your Chrome installation in safe mode once and check if that resolves your problem. If it does not, please try to restore your browser's factory defaults.
