      Hello everyone,
I have a 12V power supply on my duet Wifi/printer
I have recently added a 12V fan to cool the print (I was previously using a 5V fan)
So I moved the Fan Jumper and plugged the new fan and started a new print.
1st layer no problem (fan is off)
2nd layer, fan is switched ON but the Heater just stops...
I have tried again and each time the FAN starts , the heater stops to heat.
Have then unplugged the FAN (just to check) and everything is OK, no problem till the end of the print.
What could be the problem ?
      Thanks
      SR

Are you getting any error messages about heater faults?

Yes, but I think I know what's happening...
I think the fan is strong and blows on the heater making the thermistor thinking that the heater is faulty while this is only coming from the air blowing.
Gonna put a silicon around it and test... Don't think now it's an electrical problem.

            Yes... that's it .
So I see two solutions here.
1] Put A silicon around the head
2] Turn the head so the thermistor is not facing the air fan flow.
            Or both 🙂

Even better is to adjust the fan duct to blow at the print below the nozzle, not at the heater.
