I'm running a similar motor on Z axis in my Core XY. It is working fine at 1.8 amps. I did get an external stepper driver in case I needed to go over the 2 amp Duet limit. I'm pretty sure that a Nema 17 would have had enough power for my Z though.

The 2.8A current rating is rather high for the Duet 085, but reasonable for the Duet WiFi.

Many thanks for that prompt and definite response. It was suggested I needed NEMA-23 rather then NEMA-17 because I am planning a delta printer with 300mm square (430 mm diameter) build area.

            Any comments/suggestions more than welcome.

Nema 17 motors should be adequate for your printer. The additional mass of the longer belts and longer/thicker CF tubes won't need that much extra power. I suggest 17HM19-2004S or similar with 24V power.
