Using E1 to run second Y Stepper?

Hi! I've banged my head against the Printer all night, and finally got everything working on my FT-5... Well, sort of....
I'm using a Duet 2 wifi 1.40A
I was under the impression that I could use the second extruder driver to run my second Y stepper, as the FT-5 uses both dual Z and Dual Y motors.
For the life of me, no matter what I try, the E1 doesn't move anything... I have however somehow linked my X and Y axis, so that when I move either X or Y, both the X and Y axis move together...
I'm sure it's something I'm doiung, but could one of you experienced guys tell me if A:)what I'm trying to do is even possible, and B:) if so, what do you see wrong with my config?
I went from knowing absolutely nothing at the start of the night, and I've figured out all sorts of stuff now. I just can't get to the bottom of this.
My second Y is plugged into E1.

You need to use M584 in your config.g to assign driver 4 to Y and un-assign it from your extruders:
M584 X0 Y1:4 Z2 E3
Put this either before or immediately after the M569 commands, so that it is before any M906 or M350 commands.
As you will then have only one extruder, you will need to change all occurrences of Ennn:nnn to just Ennn.

Would you mind pointing out whether or not I've got it right?
Also, here's the deal: My X and Y are linked somehow. The carriage runs to the endstop, then grinds against the side until both the X and Y show Homed on the Screen. However, it's never actually touching the Y endstop. It shows that it homes however.
Is there anywhere else where I may have somehow tied the two together?
Wiring is correct. If I use a stepper Driver tester I made, and plug each stepper in, I can move them one by one with the tester. They're all plugged into the proper ports as well. I triple checked even though they're wire loomed and labeled from before I switched.

Seems you have configured it as Core XY printer, but it is not as far as i know. So delete line "M667 S1 ; Select CoreXY mode" or comment it out and all should work ok then.

And That was it! Thank you so much for your consideration... everything is running smoothly as of now.. the only issue is the gantry stalling at the end stop and vibrating for 15 seconds on each axis...
Should My Mechanical end stops be set to 0 or 1? Ive tried both.
would it do that if I told it to home farther than it can go? I mean ignore the end stops?

Sounds like your endstop switches dont trigger or your homeing files arent configured correctly. I reccomend to read https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Connecting_endstop_switches and/or https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/ConfiguringRepRapFirmwareCartesianPrinter#Section_Homing_files.

Just to follow up.... I found my main issue... I didn't realize that Dual Y motors had to rotate in different directions.... Just never dawned on me.... The 2 motors were fighting each other! They were previously spliced together in parallell, so once I split them I needed to flip the wires around again.

No need to rewire, you can change the motor direction on individual drivers using the M569 command.
