Z probe

I have a question. First all I have a 12 VDC power supply on my duet wifi. I would like to know if I can also add a 24 VDC power supply to run my Z probe. I am using a voltage divider 15K and 2.2K resistors that reduce output voltage to approximately 3.16 VDC. Is it possible to then use this voltage to trigger my z probe on the board connected to the ground and in pins on the probe pins? Or would it be better to run a relay and connect the 3.3 VDC pin to the in pin?

Well now have my probe running off of 24VDC. R1 15K and R2 2.2K 3VDC out put.
