I do apologize if this is in the wrong forum. I have replaced the duet 0.6 board that my ormerod 2 came equipped with and after some swapping of connectors and snipping i had the wiring setup. Unbeknownst to me, using the z probe in lieu of an x stop is not a standard practice on the duet wifi board.
Is it possible to add a command in the config to make my stubborn old ways possible or is there a genuine benefit to adding a physical x stop switch to the printer?
I have searched for some time about this issue and have come out empty; if this question has already been answered before i apologize on behalf of my google fu.

You need to change parameter X0 in the M558 command in config.g to X1.
