Using large blower with an external driver on the Duet 2 Maestro
-
The blower needs to be hooked into the power supply because it draws 3 Amps. According to the technical drawing on here (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/7040-DC-12V-DC-24V-brushless-DC-blower-small-centrifugal-fan-can-be-used-for-sleep/32954384407.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.61594c4dpksgHJ) it seems like the board can accept multiple types of input for control. Correct me if I am wrong, but I should just be able to connect the +5V to the V_Fan slot, and the ground to ground, right?

Unfortunately I was unable to find a datasheet for the WM7040-24V driver. I think you will need to supply it with permanent 5V power (possibly from the PanelDue connector of the Duet) and then use the EN and/or VSR inputs to control it. Depending on the type of input, you may be able to connect the FAN- output on the Duet to the EN input and also connect a pullup resistor between EN and +5V.
