Superscript and subscript in forum posts?
-
Hi,
How do you add super or sub script to forum posts? Things get a little messy and can be unclear when using the ^ character. Nothing mentioned in the markdown spec reached through the 'COMPOSE ?' link on the top right of the editor text entry window.
Tried:
mm2/s
mm^2^/s
mm~2~/sLikewise for subscript:
H2
...there is also no category for issues with this website.

Looks like isn't supported by the forum software, however for superscript and subscript digits 0-9 you can use the corresponding Unicode glyphs, for example. E=mc² and CO₂. See https://gist.github.com/molomby/9bc092e4a125f529ae362de7e46e8176 for a list of them. There is a possibility that some forum users may not be using Unicode fonts and so may not see them, but I think should be unlikely these days.
