Vertical Layout of PanelDue

Hi,
I know this has been asked once or twice before,
But is it possible to add the vertical layout of the PanelDue to the wishlist?
My printer is close to done and this is the only way the screen can fit.
I bet a lot of other people would also choose this layout if they could.It would be great if there was some sort of "bounty" that we could attach to the feature wishlist,
and the more people add a few bucks to it, the more incentive there is for the developers to include that feature and earn the "bounty".
I would be more than happy to throw in 15-20€.Thank you

What about for an interim solution fitting in a cheap tablet running the DWC directly? Or something like this?

Weird suggestion:
Your "box" has a hole cutout for the screen. Make an insert for that cutout with something ferromagnetic. Make a box for the PanelDue, with magnets in the back.
When you need to use the PanelDue, remove it and hold it in landscape orientation in your hand. When you are done, magnetically attach it back.
Personally I'm a very tall dude so having the screen in my hand would be awesome if the desk is too low.

Unfortunately it would be a lot of work to design a new layout that works vertically and then code it. There probably wouldn't be room in the flash memory of the older PanelDue versions to accommodate both layouts, so it would have to be for version 3 PanelDues only. But if anyone else want to have a go (and perhaps accept your bounty), I'll provide him/her with support.
More generally, how do people feel about having a completely different interface on PanelDue, more like the ones you see on the MKS TFT and similar devices? IOW, much less information displayed on each screen and probably more graphics. The present PanelDue UI was designed by and for an engineer (i.e. me) and it is probably too busy for most end users.

For the PanelDue, I prefer more information and less "fluff." I use the PanelDue as the primary interface for controlling my printers (and DWC only for uploading gcode files and some random monitoring.) Having it "dumbed down" in the name of cosmetics would represent a major downgrade and make using my printers more difficult.
I've already encountered this type of problem with more recent PanelDue versions. In particular, the intrusive pop up messages for obvious things (such as starting a print.) (Thankfully, it wasn't difficult to revert that particular change in the source and recompile.)

Only if it were optional. Now that slicers support uploading directly to the Duet and starting the print I use the PanelDue primarily over the DWC and only use the DWC when I need to edit a config file. Between the controls available on the PanelDue and my parameter tuning macros I can do pretty much everything I need to do and see everything I need to see.

Noooo, this is just a bad idea.
PanelDue interface only needs a littte refresh, some points with I would change:- maker the interface more "flat" and "square" but not by presenting less information. Just remove any gradients and corner rounding.
- make a machine move interface like pronterface
- maybe some sliders for settings temps/fan speeds

I agree with the already voiced opinions: please no fluff or fancy pictograms that take up unnecessary space. I'm an engineer as well - so I like the general approach.
A guess a regular facelift would not hurt at this time.
I know catering to everybody is difficult, especially with all the various printer architectures, additional axis, multiple hotends, etc, is tricky. But I guess the available screen space should be best used for the most common printer types: single hotend, 3 axis, a heated bed.
