Big question up front:
Should I be using a Duet3 MB 6XD instead of a Duet3 MB 6HC for Clearpath motors?

I'm working on integrating Clearpath SD motors with a Duet 3 6HC for work. I joined this project after the boards/motors were chosen and I'm not super familiar with Duet.
I've been sending quadrature signals to the Clearpath (it is set to receive this signal type), but the motor goes into a shutdown state. I looked at the forum and noticed that a lot of projects use a 1XD or 6XD for Clearpaths, so I am left wondering if I should make the switch.
