Thanks David that makes sense. Where do the the homing speed etc parameters used when the duet is performing the g29 come from, is it homez?
Thanks

Hi all,
I have a corexy printer using a bltouch. I can home the z axis fine, and also run a g29 command without any problems. I find this strange as I do not have either a bed.g or a meshlevel.g file (my M557 is in config.g) What I am asking is what role to these two files have in the mesh levelling procedure under 1.19 as I would like to alter the point at which the probe deploys in the sequence
Thanks,
Shaun
Cheers Ian that would be great - I am going to pick up an ad card reader today so I can update to the new firmware today.
Thanks
Shaun
Hi all,
I am using a BLtouch on a corexy printer. I can home Z fine with it but am trying to set up mesh bed levelling. I have seen people using a meshlevel.g file that I didn't have. Can anyone tell me how the firmware knows how to use this file as if I omit the M557 command from my config.g the web interface puts up an error message.
Thanks,
Shaun
Hi all,
If I run the mesh levelling with G29 or G29 S1 and then want to do it again without switching the printer off, Do I run M561, G29 S3 or both before I run G29 again?
Thanks,
Shaun
Ahhh I get it now!! So the trigger height is just a reference position and the z0 command will be given to the printer when printing by the slicers g code?
Hi all,
I am currently configuring my IR probe and cant seem to get it to home my Z axis properly..
The edge of the board it just over 1mm higher than the nozzle and I get 4 flashes when I switch the machine on. I am also using blue tape on the bed under the sensor. I get a reading of 0 with nothing under the sensor, 4.65 with a piece of paper near the sensor and 538 when the led lights up.
I send M558 P1 followed by G31 P500 Z1.0, then lower the head to grab a piece of paper and send Z92 Z0 to the printer, raise the head by 5mm and then send G30 S-1 which gives me a head height of 2.84mm. I enter the value into my G31 line in the config.g and cycle the power but the head always homes to 2.84 and obviously this is over a couple of mm too high. Am I missing something as the way I see it the firmware knows I want to home at 0 hence the g92 command and it knows the trigger height - what am I missing to make it get to 0 once the sensor triggers?
Thanks in advance!

Hi all,
In the command M574 X# Y# Z# S#, do I need to omit the Z if I am using the ir probe for z homing and bed levelling or does the m558 command override whatever I put?
Also is is best to configure the sensor with the bed and nozzle heated or not?
Thanks
Shaun
