@fcwilt A PT1000 sensor may work. I print at very high temperatures and would like to maintain the performance of a thermocouple though.

Expansion tool board immediate heater fault (Duet 3)
I have a 1.1 toolboard and am powering a fan and hotend. I am running my hotend thermocouple back to the main board where I have a thermocouple daughterboard.
This setup creates an immediate fault of my hotend. I don't get an error code. The heater status just goes from active to fault and I have to reset it. I read:
"A heater on an expansion or tool board can only be controlled by a temperature sensor on the same expansion board. This is a safety precaution."Does this mean my configuration is not going to work? I'd really like to use a thermocouple instead of using one of the other ports on the motherboard. I guess I could run heater wires back to the main board but that's kind of taking away from the purpose of having a toolboard in the first place.
