is there something I need to add to my Start Gcode or something to tell the duet how to calculate the print time? My slicer says 4 hours, the duet says 86 hours 52 minutes print time remaining... lol.

          Nope. No special start.

The print timer will get more accurate as the print proceeds. Ignore it for the first 1/4 or so of the print.

To get an accurate print time, run the file in simulation mode first. You can do this from DuetWebControl (right click on the file and select Simulate) or from PanelDue.

You were correct... about 30 minutes in, it had dropped down to 2 hours or so... thanks... I just never saw that before.. lol I appreciate the response!

The more you wait the more accurate it is.

When the 3 figures converge, it is accurate. Before then, the estimate based on filament usage is usually the most accurate, although on the first few layers it is unduly pessimistic because the first layer is usually printed more slowly. But the simulation gives an accurate time, unless you change the speed factor or the machine parameters during the print.
