            Hello all

            I bought a CR10 a while ago and really like it, but i had some things going and wanted a second printer for that
            a nice option to me seemed the Tronxy X5s (CoreXY) printer but found out that i kinda need to bed level every print, which i dont have to do with my cr10

            so i though about getting a BLTouch for it, then found out the stock board doesnt support it so bought a Duet 2 Ethernet and really liked how quiet it made my printer, but i still have to level the printer everytime and then still dont always have a proper first level

            so i'm ready to start from scratch with the config and all

            i added a ikea mirror to the bed in an attempt to get at least the flex out of the bed

            who wants to help me?

            How many Z motors does the printer have? You may be able to use https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Bed_levelling_using_multiple_independent_Z_motors.

              a probe of some sort is nearly a must.

                @dc42 has 2 z motors connected to z0 (z1 is jumpered out) and E1,
                e0 is extruder motor
                and a X and Y motor.. so 5 in total.. and yes i would love that to work but now it seems to rely on the z switch instead of the bltouch

                and there is one z switch

                  have a look at this
                  https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3303618

                  you can build it yourself quite cheaply and it performs as well as a bltouch

                    What's stopping you from using the technique described on the page that I linked to? It doesn't rely on Z endstop switches at all. You can continue to home the printer initially using the Z endstop switch if you like.
