I have just installed a infrared probe from duet3d on my any cubic predator and it is approx 2.5cm in front of the nozzle is there any way I can tell the board the location it is probing is incorrect and give it the correct distance

i previously had a microswitch probe on the nozzle but now I have an infrared duet sensor can anyone tell me what it should be set to trigger at as I have it at 500 currently and my bed reports it's like the Himalayas

what surface do you have? it might not be optimal for an ir probe.

Anycubic Predator base there is a little shine to it but quite dull

The ultrabase surface doesn't cover the whole surface. There are gaps in it so the laser would be shining through the glass. Not sure the laser will work very well.
