The motor connections on the Duet 3 wiring diagram have different nos for the coils A1 A2 B1 B2 to the Duet V1 etc 1A 1B 2A 2B although the colours stay the same on both wiring diagrams. Could someone please clarify whether the coils are A & B or 1 & 2 on the Duet 3?

I was able to move my stepper wires over from my duet2 to the duet3 with no wiring or direction changes.

Well that's what I did but unfortunately the motor didn't move. Back to the drawing board!

Edit: Note, this connection list is incorrect, see below. Leaving it so the thread makes sense.

I did get momentarily tripped up by missing the connections are:
            1 2 3
            6 5 4

Otherwise my stepper transition went fine 🙂

@kraegar 0 to 5 actually, not 1 to 6. But likewise, all my 13 steppers are wired the same way on Duet3 as they were with Duet2.

Oh, right. That's what I get for not looking at anything when I typed that!

@kraegar Hope you don't mind. I wasn't trying to be pedantic but it's the sort of thing that someone new to duet might query or get wrong.

Oh, not at all! I appreciate the correction - definitely was bad info on my part and as you said, could cause someone a headache!

The problem was I forgot to set up a dummy Tool. Without it the CNC setup doesn’t work. I’ve also got the Endstops working so I’m now good to go.
