Not sure what I have done here but I had two tools set up with the exception of the drives. I was able to get the heaters working correctly and showing the temps but when I went to extrude some filament neither one would work so I went to my config to see if I had something set wrong. Now all my tools have disappeared and I can't figure out what is wrong.

I am sure it is something simple but cannot see it.

      Set up:
      Duet Wifi & Duex5
      Firmware version 2.02
      Web interface 1.22.6

      First extruder is using:
      Drive 5 on Duex5
      Heater 3 on Duex5
      Thermistor 3 on Duex5

      Second extruder is using:
      Drive 6 on Duex5
      Heater 4 on Duex5
      Thermistor 4 on Duex5

        Hi,

        I'm a bit confused.

In your 1st M563 you specify tool 1, name it tool 0 and comment it as tool 2.

in you 2nd M563 you specify tool 2, name it tool 1 and comment it as tool 3.

And why is there no M562 for tool 0?

So what is going on there?

Just did a Firmware Diagnostics and shows that the Drives 5-9 are not available... What would cause that?

              Hi,

              OK so still no tools?

Off topic but thought I would mention it.

I would update to firmware 2.04.

Regards M208: There is a "short form" now M208 Xmin:max keeping all the values together in one command.

Regards the M565/G10 "pairs": You can use just one G10 command with both sets of parameters. Again keeping things together.

Still haven't seen the problem. Will keep looking unless you find it first.

                        Hi,

I think the problem is the drive numbers in the M563 command.

I just checked my config and even though T0 is drive 3 in the M584 it is drive 0 in the M563.

I think that drive numbers in M563 start at 0 for the first extruder regardless of the drive number in M584.

                        Try that.

Well that got my tools back but this is how it looks on my duet panel.
If I change the H parameter to use 1 & 2 then 3 & 4 go away but still shows 2000 temp reading which is obviously wrong! haha

                            Hi,

I don't think the heaters change numbers.

If memory serves they are always 0,1,2 on the Duet WiFi and 3,4,5,6,7 on the Duex5.

I have a duet panel but I have never used it.

                              Any Idea how to get 3 & 4 to show as 1 & 2?

                                No I don't. Someone should.

I never used my panel - it was just easier to use the web interface.
