taz 6 configuration
-
Hi,
Does someone have a working taz 6 config.g that they can share (using the stock hotend)? I've got the basic movement and homing working but I get a heater fault every time I try to heat the hotend. It seems like the fan cooling the heat break is overwhelming the heater and I would like to compare what I have with something that is working for someone else.
Thanks!

@crpalmer, have you run heater tuning?

I tried to pid tune @240 but it was very slow to get past the low 140s (when heater should be at full power) so I killed it.
I feel like the hotend fan is running louder than it did on the Rambo board but I can't be sure because I'm working in a quiet location and the printer is normally in a loud location. All attempts to slow the fan down failed (setting different pwm frequencies with a duty of 99% and a 5 second start time -- B5000).

I think I figured out my problem. I still need to test it but it looks like that is a 5v fan that I am running at 24v. I can't believe I didn't blow that thing if it really is 5v!

They are usually fairly tolerant at least for short durations.

That was my problem. Switched it to 5v and I am now happily printing.
