    Hello,

I recently got a brand new Duet Maestro board from a local reseller. I wired it to my Sapphire PRO 3D printer (CoreXY) by following and adapting where necessary the Ender 3 guide (https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Guide/Ender+3+Pro+and+Duet+Maestro+Guide+Part+1:+Wiring/37?lang=en). I have hooked up a 12864 Full Graphic display.
I have no idea why but it won't boot up properly (attached is a photo duet not working.jpg
I have also looked in my router assigned IP's but it won't show up on the network (activity led seems to be blinking).

Does anybody have any ideea what i'm doing wrong? I will provide any additional info promptly ...
Could it be that i recieved a broken board?

    Thanks in advance,
    Peter

Part 2 covers populating the SD card with the necessary files and how to connect via usb to set up networking?

the duet maestro does not come with a default menu for the lcd

you will have to do that yourself or use an existing one like
        https://github.com/mudcruzr/Duet-Maestro-12864-Menu-Files

also do you have the config line to activate the display like
        M918 P1 E4 F2000000 ; configure direct-connect display
        in your config?

I've added a note on the LCD wiring step mentioning that configuration is detailed later.

              @yonutz33

DId you reverse the connectors like in that guide for the Ender 3?

That shouldn't be necessary, because the LCD is a RepRapDiscount one or a clone.

                • Have you tried adjusting the contrast pot?
                • See @Veti 's post about enabling the display using M918. Even without menu files, you should get a message on the display if you enable the display using M918.

Thank you, it was solved with your previous answers. I needed to enable it through M918 and copy the menu files.
