I am having an issue when configuring multiple z axis steppers on a Mestro plus duel stepper module and IR probe.

I can get the bed to home correctly using either home all or home z in the control panel, but when i go to true bed levelling the homez works fine, but when it goes to probe the 3 points it rams the head against the endstops and keeps going like this for upto 5 seconds and then performs the z level at that point and then does the exact same thing on the 2nd point this time on the y axis endstop, its like it is not seeing the endstops and just keeps going to push the head into them.

        M574 Z1 S2 ; set endstops controlled by probe

you disabled x and y endstops.

        it should be

        M574 X1 Y1 S1 ; set active high endstops
        M574 Z1 S2 ; set endstops controlled by probe

Why should this make a difference, no offence ?? making them high (1) does not stop the head crashing into the endstop ? it has the exact same effect as (0)

This is a core XY machine with a static X and Y endstop at the lowest position nearest 0,0 being X5 Y5 if i homeall the axis points all home correctly to X5 Y5 Z7.50 it then moves the head to X155 Y5 this brings the head and z probe to front of the bed directly in line with the middle front z axis P5, when i invoke G32 for true bed leveling the head moves towards the rear left first probe point being X5 Y290 P2 but crashes into the x-axis endstop halfway up the bed and keeps trying to move the head against the endstop display indicates the x-axis is now -35 and Y-axis the same -35 after about 5 seconds it stops and completes the z-probe , next it is supposed to go to X155 Y5 P5 and again it crashes into the Y-Axis exactly the same as before and then onto X290 Y290 P6 where it now goes beyond the x-axis maximum of 290 but thinks its at 255.

I hope this paints a better description of the problem

The M208 limits are ignored when running G30 probing, because it is sometimes necessary to probe outside the normal limits. You need to move the XY coordinates in the G30 commands in bed.g to be coordinates that are reachable by the Z probe.
