On my duet wifi lcd screen the z probe reading is at 1000 so the z-probe is triggered and always on. It's not at 0 when the hotend is stationary. I can't probe my bed.

I installed the Precision Piezo module here to the duet 2 wifi. I have everything plugged in correctly. The piezo disk is installed on my hotend setup and by tapping the hotend the blue led light blinks.

here is my settings for the probe:

    M667 S1 ; Select CoreXY mode

    ; Drives
    M569 P0 S1 ; Physical drive 0 goes forwards
    M569 P1 S1 ; Physical drive 1 goes forwards
    M569 P2 S2 ; Physical drive 2 goes backwards
    M569 P3 S1 ; Physical drive 3 goes forwards
    M350 X16 Y16 Z16 E16 I1 ; Configure microstepping with interpolation
    M92 X79.59 Y79.59 Z401.36 E275.72 ; Set steps per mm
    M566 X4200.00 Y420.00 Z12.00 E120 ; Set maximum instantaneous speed changes (mm/min)
    M203 X18000.00 Y18000.00 Z500.00 E1200.00 ; Set maximum speeds (mm/min)

M906 X800.00 Y800.00 Z800.00 E800.00 I30 ; Set motor currents (mA) and motor idle factor in per cent
    M84 S30 ; Set idle timeout

    ;assign motors
    M584 X0 Y1 Z2:4 ; two Z motors connected to driver outputs Z and E1
    M671 X-10:280 Y0:0 S10 ; leadscrews at left and right of X axis
    ;M208 X-5:205 Y0:200 ; X carriage moves from -5 to 205, Y bed goes from 0 to 200

    ; Axis Limits
    M208 X0 Y0 Z0 S1 ; Set axis minima
    M208 X280 Y280 Z350 S0 ; Set axis maxima

    ; Fans
M106 P0 S0 I0 F500 H-1 ; Set fan 0 value, PWM signal inversion and frequency. Thermostatic control is turned off
    ; M106 P1 S1 I1 F25000 H1 T45 ; Set fan 1 value, PWM signal inversion and frequency. Thermostatic control is turned on
    M106 P1 S1 I0 F500 H1 T45
    m106 P2 S1 I0 F500 H1 T45 ; Set fan 2 value, PWM signal inversion and frequency. Thermostatic control is turned on

    ; Tools
    M563 P0 D0 H1 ; Define tool 0
    G10 P0 X0 Y0 Z0 ; Set tool 0 axis offsets
    G10 P0 R0 S0 ; Set initial tool 0 active and standby temperatures to 0C

If I change M558 P5 to P1, z-probe number goes down to 500 but still triggered.

    firmware 2.05

    Please help.

      Try removing\comment out the

      M574 Z1 S2 line, I found I didn't need it for my Precision Piezo z-probe , i.e.

      M574 X1 Y2 S0 ; Set active low endstops

      M558 P8 I1 R0.4 H5 T24000 F200 ; Set Peizo - P probe type, I Invert, R recovery time, H dive hight, T inter-probe-point speeds, F Probing Speed

      Julian,

        That didn't work for me.

Before this issue I was already using a clone precision z-probe and I works with my original code M558 P5 l1 R0.7 F400 X0 Y0 Z0 . That clone device was giving me sensitivity issues but it was detecting my print bed when it touches so I bought the new one.

Just now I switched back to my original code and switched to the clone and it detects my bed. Switched the clone to the real one and with the original code and its not detecting when I tap the hot end so the bed just keeps rising, lights are blinking on the pcb.

My duet not receiving signals from the probe?

Does the probe have any LED indication on it to show when it is triggered?

            Yes it does.

Found out what the problem was. The piezo disk on my hot end assembly was the issue. For some reason it works the the clone probe and not with the real one. So I hooked up a brand new disk and pressing on it triggers the probe and the bed stops.

            Stupid me.

Thanks for the help even though it was just a hardware issue and not a code issue.

I have a SN04 probe and it was doing the same until I changed invert command to (I1) on the M558 gcode
